March Updates and Prayers

Hola!! it’s Marisól 🌞

I pray that this email finds you ready to move on, ready to say goodbye, ready to start anew! Spring is on the horizon. We are nearly there. This is the time to clear out your stuff, the closet, and leftovers. In my home, we are going through all the paperwork lying around in the cabinets, I am donating so much of my clothes, and I am ready to make my life simple.

Simple and Clean

Too much clutter literally makes life more complex than it has to be. This is both a physical and spiritual thing. Take the time to finally let some of your burdens rest. Some things are just not gonna get figured out. Some things are just not gonna get finished. Throw away the list of to-do’s and start over!

Here is a house cleanse herbal solution that I have been using to clean my floors: a tea of eucalyptus and rosa de castilla. You can find these in local markets! Just take a tablespoon of each dried herb and simmer them in a pot. Strain out the herb particles and then use the tea to wipe down surfaces. It’s gonna make your house smell so good!! and ready for spring!

A prayer to the East for New Beginnings

Below you will see a prayer that I use whenever I invoke the spirit of the East. Our ancestors saw the sun rise every single day over the eastern sky. They knew that towards the East, they would find hope for a new day. I suggest using this prayer any time during the mornings, and even on the day of Spring Equinox, too! I pray this prayer brings you many blessings <3

I now turn to the East, 

I call on the energies of the Sunrise Sun, 

I first give gratitude to you for beginning a new day. 

I turn the page to receive emptiness - 

one that allows me to start over, 

and to choose new things, 

new thoughts, 

new perspectives, 

new stories, 

new peoples, 

new places, 

new hopes and dreams. 

Thank you for the vast earth of plenty. 

Spring Limpia Event: Sunday, April 12, 2026

I will be offering donation-based limpias at this event on Sunday, April 12th! These sessions do not require an appointment since they are first come, first served. Limited spots are available for this day! We will be at Mujeres Brew House (1983 Julian Avenue, San Diego, CA 92113) from 1:00pm-6:00pm. This is a beautiful event filled with ancestral medicines, more limpia practitioners, card and oracle readings, and delicious food! The Language of Herbs Club

Recently, a new herb club has arrived here to San Diego! Founded by Marissa Flores with the support of Shel and Marisól (Me! hehe), we have created a space where folks who are curious to learn more about herbs can come together and have fun! We have tea tastings, herb walks, meditations, and many more activities for folks to feel connected and supported in their herbal journeys. (All levels are welcome: we have folks who have been walking the herbal path from 8+ years and folks who have never read a book on herbalism ever before!!) Limpias and Availability
